We're Expanding Our Team!

Contract Positions Available:

Entry Level - Field Technician

Outside Sales

Entry Level Field Technician: (Part-Time)

Pest Control Service Technician needed – No experience necessary.

(It's not your average job, but someone who's good with people, not afraid to get their hands dirty, and wants to succeed will flourish.)

Diamond Pest Control - Has been family owned and operating in south central Wisconsin for 7 busy years. We are a well-established and respected company in the industry despite being a young, bootstrapped startup company. If you're not familiar with what that means: we're a young, self-funded, home-based office, things are changing on the fly, etc. We’re figuring things out as we go, and we need someone who's cool with that. We’re looking for someone that’s willing to work and grow together with the company, a real go-getter who thrives in a competitive environment, and who's not afraid to take initiative.

We’ve been experiencing enough growth to warrant onboarding a new employee for this busy Summer & Autumn season. The ideal candidate with have a super strong work ethic, possess a willingness to learn, and will be committed to meeting the same high standards we have set forth for years to satisfy our clients - Think Diamond Quality Standards : )

To succeed in this role you should be comfortable wearing many hats – ie, Service Technician, Customer Service, Pest Control Guru, Sales, etc. This is a high-energy, fast-paced, interactive position that will be enjoyable for a punctual, hard-working, motivated, and goal-oriented individual. The more you get done in your day, the more money you’ll make.

It would be amazing if you already have a pest control license and experience, but we’re more than willing to train and license the right person. That being said, here’s what you DO need.

Requirements:

  • Customer service experience (sales or marketing experience is a huge plus ++)

  • Minimum 18 yrs of age. (21+preferred)

  • Valid Wisconsin driver’s license & Clean DMV record

  • Must pass a drug screening, physical and background check.

  • Minimum of a High School Diploma. (some college preferred)

  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

  • Has a smart phone with data package (preferred)

  • Comfortable working in a constantly changing start-up environment

  • Comfortable working as a 1099 contractor

  • Clean cut, business-casual appearance

What the role entails:

  • Planning and organizing a route within an assigned territory. You'll be largely responsible for Scheduling, confirming, and fulfilling appointments with your clients daily.

  • Engaging with the clients in a personable manner to meet, address, and exceed their needs While also upselling them on our service offerings, etc.

  • You'll have to take the knowledge you learn, and use it to evaluate the conditions of a problem, and Implement appropriate solutions, or plans of action. Lots of thinking on your toes.

  • You'll need to learn to use a smartphone application to record your completed jobs, locations, payments, etc.

  • Responding to service calls, "schmoozing" customers sometimes, etc.

  • Following directions; finish all assigned tasks and obligations in a timely fashion.

  • Expanding and growing your route by “Cloverleafing” Capturing new leads, sales, and clients by reaching out & marketing the area around existing customers.

  • Regularly Stocking, maintaining, and keeping up the company-provided vehicle.

Compensation:

  • While you train and learn the ropes, we'll probably pay you a flat rate, perhaps around minimum wage.

  • Once you’re licensed and up to speed, you’ll earn a fixed commission on all services performed, and a larger incentivized commission for new starts. (So there’s a huge initiative to build your own route and be a go-getter.)

> It’s important to note that initially, you’ll be given (a yet to be decided) number of existing accounts, (something that’ll equate to around minimum wage or less probably) but beyond that it’s up to you to grow, expand, and build your own route, generating leads for yourself. You could make 10k in your first year, or you could make 100k in your first year. This is largely up to you and how motivated you are to make yourself some money.

  • At this time we are not offering a benefits package, as we’re an early stage company, but likely in the future, this will be happening.

  • The perks really lie in the fact that we’re still a small company, and despite this being a full-time position, it’s also pretty chill at times. You’ll really have the power to make your own schedule so long as you get your work done, you get a company truck, and you get to get in at the ground floor of a rapidly expanding startup company.

We need someone not afraid to get their hands dirty, not afraid to step up, work hard, and demonstrate leadership, as this will very likely develop into a leadership role in the future, but also someone who’s a great people person; someone who you’d have no problem striking up and maintaining a conversation with at random. A large percentage of the job is interacting with our customers, and you’ll be the face of the brand- so presentation, attitude, and people skills are everything.

If you’re ready to start and grow your career with an early stage pest control company, and this sounds and feels like a job you’d like and do well,

Please respond with a Resume and Cover letter.
